The site

Takht-e Soleyman, or "Throne of Solomon," is a Sasanian sanctuary and fortress in West Azerbaijan, Iran, set on a hill built up by a calcium-rich spring pond. Within its walls stood Adur Gushnasp, a Zoroastrian fire temple housing one of the empire's three Great Fires, before which Sasanian rulers humbled themselves to ascend the throne. The site, which appears on the fourth-century Peutinger Map, became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003.
