The site
Los Millares is a Copper Age settlement in Almeria, southeastern Spain, occupied through the third millennium BCE. The site combines a fortified village with an extensive necropolis of tombs and defensive walls, marking it as one of the most important prehistoric centres in the Iberian Peninsula. Its layered fortifications and burial monuments record a community organised for both the living and the dead.
