The Maya Ruins of Tulum are a walled Maya city and temple complex on Mexico's Caribbean coast, occupied from around 1200 CE until the early years of Spanish contact in 1524. It stands among the later Maya settlements, its architecture perched where the land meets the sea. The site preserves temples and civic structures from the final centuries of Maya urban life on the Yucatan.
