Marib is a city in Yemen that served as the capital of the ancient Sabaean kingdom, which some scholars link to the biblical Sheba. Set in the region of the Sarawat Mountains, it ranks among the most important places for Arabian archaeology. In 2023 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the Landmarks of the Ancient Kingdom of Saba, Marib.
