The site

Banteay Srei is a tenth-century Khmer temple in the Angkor region of Cambodia, dedicated to the Hindu gods Shiva and Parvati. Built largely of red sandstone, this UNESCO World Heritage sanctuary carries elaborate wall carvings still crisp today, and its buildings are unusually miniature by Angkorian standards. These qualities have earned it lasting praise as the jewel of Khmer art.
