The site

Taos Pueblo is an ancient adobe settlement of the Tiwa-speaking Puebloan people, standing about a mile north of Taos, New Mexico. Established in the late 13th and early 14th centuries and continuously occupied into modern times, it is one of the Eight Northern Pueblos. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its multistoried earthen dwellings remain home to a living community today.
